Ten Dollars for your thoughts?

There’s only so much one can talk about while driving across New Brunswick. Don’t get me wrong, today’s scenery was beautiful and we chose the backroads for a while, hugging the St. John River and the Canada/US border.

How do we pass the time you ask? Telling very bad jokes is how:

  • Tarzan and Finch and chimps
  • Raining Datsun cogs
  • She was drunk but I like her still

You know, the usual. Poor Joanne.

Greco Donair

I received a random text from Bill saying we must stop at the Greco Donair for lunch in Oromocto (he lived there in his youth). I loved Joanne’s response: “that reminds me too much of night shifts while policing in PEI”.

Look at these two

New Glasgow

Checked in at the beautiful “Suites” and we’re walking into town for dinner. We’ve got our top three places all checked out and they’re closed, booked or the kitchen’s closed.

What a boon though to end up here:

Viola

I’m so excited! We’re dining right next to the theatre where Viola Desmond was arrested for not moving seats. She was on her way home to Halifax when she experienced car trouble. While she waited she thought she’d see a movie. The rest, as the cliché goes, is history.
